Illuminated Manuscript Boots
Description:
These boots were made from a soft cast mold of the customer’s foot and leg and patterned to create a perfectly tailored fit. The gold trim piece is leather tooling, with flowers and berries inspired by the Grande Heures of Anne of Britney. The bug appliqués are made of deer hide and painted with Angelus paints and also reminiscent of the illuminated manuscript pages. The boots are done in a turn shoe style and have cream and gold edging details, similar to book pages.
