Size & Materials

  • 4.5″ high
  • 3.5″ wide
  • 2.8″ deep
  • Scraps! The important part is that thickness should be 8-9 oz and up, it needs a good structure. Play with the colors! (The base is 10-12 oz, I’d say the heavier the better. If you worry you make it double 🙂
  • You will also need some lace, I used 4.5 oz lace I made with my lace maker, use anything including cotton laces or ribbons.

Hardware & Tools

None, unless you want to embellish them with something 🙂

  • Scissors
  • Knife (paper knife or rotary cutter would also work)
  • Stitching irons: my pattern is made for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch)
  • Needles – according to your thread size, a pair of harness needles
  • Mallet
  • Hole punch
  • Burnishing agent and burnisher (optional but desirable)
