Pastor Bob Leatherworks is a small leather shop producing fine leather goods. The products produced may be stamped, carved, laser-engraved, but always hand stitched. We use only the finest leather sourced in the United States. We are located in a small SW Missouri town; Carthage. The majority of the products are created using vegetable tanned leather. This type of leather is best for tooling and carving. Established in 2018, Pastor Bob continues to expand his knowledge and experience by creating new pieces based on customer's wants and needs. The shop specializes in holsters, knife sheaths, phone holsters, belts, cup wraps, custom carving, and other small items.

Description

Left handed holsters are rare indeed.  Left handed suppressor ready holsters even rarer.  Look no further if you want a genuine leather, friction fit holster for your suppressor ready double stack full size handgun.  This is a OWB (Outside the Waist Band) Avenger style holster.  It will fit belts up to 1.5″ wide.  Avenger holsters have a belt loop on one end and one behind the holster.  This prevents it from taking up a lot of real estate on your belt versus a standard pancake holster.  Perfect for those who open carry or wearing concealed under an untucked shirt or jacket.

How it’s Made

Pastor Bob takes great care in choosing only the best US sourced leather to create their holsters.  This holster is made using back to back 5-6 oz. leather pieces that are cut to a specific pattern, glued and hand stitched for that perfect friction fit.  It is then finished with a professional walnut leather dye, then wiped down with a waterproofing agent to protect it from the elements.  The edges of the holster are burnished to a slick, shiny appearance, making it pop.

Friction Fit?

At Pastor Bob’s we are not a huge fan of retention straps and such.  We ensure each holster will firmly hold the firearm and keep it from being removed when not being purposely drawn by the owner.  Friction Fit means that the gun will stay in place until you want to remove it.  Remember when DQ first came out with their Blizzards?  They would serve it to you upside down to show the thick ice cream would not run out.  The same thing applies to this holster.  You can literally load your firearm into it and hold the holster upside down.  The firearm will stay in place.

What Does “Suppressor Ready” Mean?

Suppressor ready firearms have a threaded barrel, sometimes with a screw-on cap, extending beyond the slide.  This usually adds at least 1/2″ to the length of the gun.  In addition, most suppressor ready firearms have taller sights so they can be readily used when a suppressor is installed.  Normal height sights would be blocked when a suppressor is attached.  This holster is designed to fully enclose the entire gun, including the extra length on the barrel.  It also has extra clearance for the taller sights.  The holster has extra length so no part of the extended barrel will be exposed to bumps or jostles.
