Size & Materials

  • 11.5”x8”x3”
  • Pattern is designed for hand stitching.
  • Comes with written instructions.
  • 5-6 oz leather, I used veg tan, something of firm temper – this bag needs good structure. Probably even 7 oz would be okay, I just don’t like to work with something this thick 😉
  • For the little straps, logo patch, and handle wrap – something around 3-4 oz. If you need a full strap template, click here to view one in my Free Patterns section.

Hardware & Tools

  • 2 x 1” swivel hooks (or whatever size you like for the shoulder strap)
  • 2 x 1” D-rings or O-rings
  • 2 x 1” rectangular loops for the handle
  • 1 x 1” buckle Rivets
  • Scissors
  • Knife (paper knife or rotary cutter would also work)
  • Stitching irons: my pattern is made for 5mm stitching irons
  • Needles: according to your thread size, a pair of harness needles
  • Mallet
  • Rivet setter
  • Hole punch
  • 1” and 3/4” bag punches (oblong)
  • Might also need pliers 🙂 The side stitches in the flap attachment seam are tough.
